William Shatner sold his kidney stone for $75K to build a home

In 2006, Star Trek star William Shatner’s kidney stone fetched $75,000 at auction. Shatner said the proceeds, along with another $25,000 raised by the Boston Legal cast, helped Habitat for Humanity build a home in Louisiana for a family of five. The unusual auction turned a personal medical episode into a charitable contribution with a lasting impact.
